The area surrounding the splash pad in Fleming just got a vibrant new addition, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Fleming Library Summer Reading Program participants. Under the expert guidance of local artist Mandy Ritter and LOCAL, children and adults came together to brainstorm ideas and bring a beautiful new mural to life.
The mural project was a highlight of this year's summer reading program, which centers on the theme of "Art." We really wanted to incorporate making our community beautiful while working together and this mural was the perfect way to do that.
Throughout several lively sessions, participants of all ages contributed their creativity. From initial sketches to the final brushstrokes, the community-driven design process ensured the mural reflects a diverse range of perspectives and ideas. The result is a colorful and engaging piece that brightens the area and stands as a testament to communal artistry.
