Town of Fleming Annual Clean-Up Day for April 24
FLEMING, CO — Residents of the Town of Fleming can prepare to clear out the clutter as the annual Town Clean-Up Day returns on Friday, April 24th. Marick’s Waste Disposal will be partnering with the town to provide curb-side (and alley-side) removal of additional waste items for local residents.
To ensure your items are collected, please follow these specific preparation guidelines:
Set-Up and Schedule
All discarded items must be placed in the alley next to your garbage container—but not inside it—on Thursday evening. Placing items early ensures the crew can begin their route promptly Friday morning.
Sorting and Packaging Requirements
To facilitate a safe and efficient pick-up, residents are asked to organize their waste into separate piles. Please categorize your items by:
Metal
Yard Debris
Construction Material
Tree Limbs and Branches
Important Packaging Rules:
Small Items: All small items must be contained in boxes or bags. Loose, small items that are not properly contained will not be picked up.
Limbs and Boards: Tree limbs, boards, and similar items must be cut into lengths of 4 feet or shorter and securely tied together in bundles using twine or rope.
Safety and Restrictions
These guidelines are strictly enforced to ensure the safety of Marick’s Waste Disposal employees. If these instructions are not followed, your items will not be picked up.
Furthermore, please be aware that the following materials are prohibited and will not be collected:
Tires
Electronics
Hazardous Materials: This includes paint, fertilizer, pesticides, solvents, and batteries.
Electronics Disposal Options
Since electronics will not be collected on Clean-Up Day, residents looking to dispose of these items should visit the Logan County Landfill located at 24235 US Hwy 6.
The landfill accepts electronics, including printers, laptops, monitors, televisions, and DVD/VCR players, at your convenience for an additional cost.
