Fleming Colorado April 2026 Drinking Water Notice

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER

Town of Fleming

Failure to be Operated by State Certified Operator

Este informe contiene información muy importante sobre su agua potable. Tradúzcalo o hable con alguien que lo entienda bien.

Our water system recently violated a drinking water requirement. Although this situation is not an emergency, as our customers, you have a right to know what happened, what you should do, and what we are doing to correct this situation.

The state drinking water program requires that all public drinking water systems must be under the direct supervision of a certified operator at the appropriate certification level. We have received a violation because our water system is not being operated by a state certified operator at the appropriate level as of 3/27/2026.

What does this mean? What should I do?

○ There is nothing you need to do at this time. If a situation arises where the water is no longer safe to drink, you will be notified within 24 hours.

What is being done?

○ During the Retirement process of the last operator, the Town of Fleming was without a Certified operator from 2/24/26 to 3/26/2026. The situation has been resolved with the hire of new Certified operators, and State Records have been updated to reflect that as of 4/17/2026.

The problem has been resolved as of 4/17/26. For more information, please contact Michelle Asfeld at Fleming@haxtuntel.net or 970-265-2692, or 114 North Logan Ave .

*Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.*
