Fleming Colorado Nomination Petitions 2026 Town Council Mayor Elections

FLEMING, CO — The Town of Fleming has officially announced that it will hold a mail-in ballot election in coordination with Logan County on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Local voters will decide the leadership for five municipal leadership positions, including the Mayor and four Trustee seats on the Fleming Town Council.

Key Candidate Deadlines and Process

Residents interested in serving their community on the Town Council must complete and return a official Nomination Petition to secure a spot on the ballot.

  • Petitions Available: Nomination petitions can be picked up in person at Town Hall.

  • Circulation Period: Petition circulation officially opens on August 4.

  • Submission Deadline: All completed nomination petitions must be submitted to Town Hall no later than Monday, August 24, at 4:00 PM.

Because the Town of Fleming enforces an ordinance against write-in candidates, picking up and completing a formal nomination petition within the specified window is the only way to run for office. Unofficial or write-in campaigns will not be counted.

Candidate Qualification Requirements

To run for Mayor or a Town Council Trustee position in Fleming, prospective candidates must satisfy the following legal requirements:

  • Be a United States citizen.

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Be a registered voter in the state/jurisdiction.

  • Have resided within the Town of Fleming for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the election.
