Fleming Colorado Town Splash Pad NextEra Energy

The Town of Fleming is excited to announce that as of the second week of July 2021, it was confirmed that the town will be building a brand-new Splash Pad with the help of NextEra Energy. NextEra Energy will be covering a majority of the project’s cost, with the Town of Fleming funding the rest. The Town of Fleming is eager to confirm details of the splash pad so that construction can begin as soon as possible.

According to Fleming Town Mayor Susan Einspahr, a splash pad in Fleming, Colorado has been a dream the Town and Board have been discussing for 20, almost 30 years, that hasn’t worked out until now. Other details are still being figured out for the splash pad, such as location, timeframe, and design, but the Town of Fleming is eager and excited to share the news with the community. The hope is that this splash pad will help bring current and future children and families in the community together to keep cool during hot, summer days.

The new town splash pad will be discussed at the next Town Meeting, which will take place at the Fleming Community Center, across from the Town Hall, on Wednesday, July 14th at 6:30pm. You can find the agenda for that meeting here and if you missed the meeting, check out the minutes in the July 23rd edition of the Fleming Focus. We will provide more details as we have them, so make sure to check back on the town’s website: flemingcolorado.us or Facebook page for updates on the splash pad.
