Fleming Colorado Ordinance

The Ordinance Enforcement Committee, in an effort to keep the town informed, is going to be highlighting one town ordinance every so often.

The first ordinance will be Ordinance #5-2020, Section 6-10-6-10:

Anything with a Vehicle Identification Number, requiring license plates, without current license plates, shall not be parked or stored on any property.  A vehicle must have current license plates to be parked or stored on any property unless parked in an enclosed building.  Any vehicle without license plates shall not be stored on any property.  Any vehicle without current plates or any state of disassembly or in disrepair or that the owner doesn’t want to plate must be stored in an enclosed building unless arrangements have been made with an Ordinance Enforcement Officer.

B. The Board of Trustees shall have the authority, following an investigation by the Ordinance Enforcement Officer to compel the removal of the vehicle(s) at the expense of the owner within thirty (30) days of their decision.

C. The Board of Trustees shall also have the authority, following an investigation by the Ordinance Enforcement Officer to extend the time period in which the vehicle(s) may remain on such property.  This extension of time will apply only to property used in connection with an automobile repair business and located within the business district.
